Thayineri Sree Muchilottu Bhagavathi temple is located near Payyanur, Kannur district, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to Goddess Bhagavathi. The annual theyyam thira kaliyattam festival in the temple is observed from February 6 to February 8 (Malayala Masam Makaram 23 to 25). Perumkaliyattam is held here once in 14 years.
This is a traditional Kerala style temple with several sanctum sanctorum dedicated to Goddess Bhagavathi and numerous other deities that are worshipped in Kavu and temples in North Kerala. Some subsidiary deities are worshipped on specially designated square platforms.

theyyam and Muchilottu Bhagavathy theyyam.
This is an important center of Shakti worship in the region
and is noted for various unique rituals and pujas.
