Ramanthali Sree Thekkadavan Dharma Daivasthanam Temple – Theyyam Kaliyattam Festival

Ramanthali Sree Thekkadavan Dharma Daivasthanam temple is located at Ramanthali in Kannur district, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to Kolaswarupathingal Thai or Sri Kuvalamnthattil Bhagvathi (കൂവളംന്താറ്റിൽ ഭഗവതി). The theyyam kaliyattam thira festival in the temple is held once in 2 years on January 20 and January 21 – Malayalam Makaram Masam 6 and 7.  The previous festivals were held in 2018, 2020 and 2022.

The temple also has the presence of Puthiya Bhagavathi, Vishnumoorthi, Madayil Chamundi, Rakta Chamundi, Kundora Chamundi, Pulikandan Daivam and Bhootatharishwaran (Veluthabhootham). These deities have their presence in a sthambham inside kannikottil (ദേവസാന്നിദ്ധ്യങ്ങൾ കന്നികൊട്ടിലിനകത്തെ സ്തംഭത്തിൽ   കുടികൊള്ളുന്നു.)

The important theyyam that are part of the biannual festival at Sree Thekkadavan Dharma Daivasthanam temple are Kuvalamnthattil Bhagvathi, Puthiya Bhagavathi, Vishnumoorthi, Madayil Chamundi, Rakta Chamundi, Kundor Chamundi, Pulikandan Daivam and Veluthabhootham.
