Moozhikkara Chandroth Bhagavathi temple is located at Moozhikkara near Kodiyeri, Thalassery, in Kannur district, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to Goddess Bhagavathi – a ferocious but wish fulfilling deity. The annual kaliyattam – theyyam festival in the temple is held for three days in Malayalam Makara Masam – Makaram 20, Makaram 21 and Makaram 22 (February 3, Feb 4 and Feb 5).
This is a small temple with a chathura sreekovil. There are no other smaller sanctums for upa devatas or other deities. Subsidiary deities also have their designated places on square platforms within the temple compound.
The theyyams that are part of the annual Kaliyattam festival at Moozhikkara Chandroth Bhagavathi temple are Angakkaran theyyam, Thoovakali theyyam, Bappooran theyyam, Bhairavan theyyam, Elladath Bhagavathy theyyam, Khandakarnan theyyam, Malakkari theyyam, Manthana Pothi, Sasthappan – Kuttichathan theyyam, Thekkan Gulikan theyyam and Karnavar theyyam.
