Pakka theyyam is a unique and rare theyyam seen during the annual theyyam thira kaliyattam festival in Kannur region of Kerala. As per information, this is a male theyyam. Pakka theyyam is associated with a person who had lived a few centuries back and performed a great deed. In memory of his selfless service a theyyam is annualy performed.
Music plays an important part in this theyya especially chenda melam. The theyyam has a unique appearance. The theyyam makes various traditional dance moves.
