Edakkanambethu Bhagavathy Theyyam – is a very rare theyyam performed during the annual theyyam – thira – kaliyattam festival in Kasaragod region of Kerala. As per information, the theyyam is associated with Goddess Mahakali (Durga and Bhagavathy). As per Edakkanambethu Bhagavathy theyyam story, she is believed to have taken the ferocious form to protect the wealth and life of a staunch devotee of hers.
