Chathu Daivam Theyyam is an infrequent theyyam seen during the annual theyyam – thira – kaliyattam festival in Kannur and Kasaragod regions of Kerala. As per information, Chathu Daivam is the son of Makkom, whose story is very famous in Theyyam Kavukal in Kerala. As per Chathu Daivam theyyam story, he was born to Makkom, the only sister of several brothers in a famous tharavadu. But the wives of the brothers did not like Makkom and they attempted to harm her. Finally, they got Makkom and her children killed through the hands of her brothers. Chathu Daivam was pushed into a lonely well in the middle of a forest along with his mother and sister.
Chathu Daivam theyyam is performed at Chala Kadavangottu Makkam Bhagavathy temple (ചാല കടവാങ്കോട്ട് മാക്കം ഭഗവതി ക്ഷേത്രം).
