Vadasseri Patinjarekkara Sree Puthiyara Bhagavathi temple is located at Vadasseri in Kannur district, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to Goddess Bhagavathi and several other deities that are part of tharavadu and kavu in Kannur region. Annual theyyam kaliyattam festival in the temple is held for two days in Malayalam Kumbha Masam – Kumbham 17 and Kumbham 18 – March 1 and March 2. Ottakolam in the temple is held for two days in Makara Masam – Makaram 6 and Makaram 7 – January 20 and January 21.
This is a traditional temple seen in Kannur region with chatura sreekovil. Subsidiary deities are worshipped in smaller sanctum sanctorum and square platforms.
The theyyam that are performed during the annual Kaliyattam festival are Puthiyara Bhagavthy theyyam, Raktha Chamundi theyyam, Gulikan theyyam, Kakkara Bhagavathy theyyam and Vellarkulangara Bhagavathy theyyam.
