Oblation Of Food In Yajna – Anna Homa

Anna Homa, or oblation of food during yajna in Hinduism, is a subsidiary rite performed when famous Vedic sacrifices like Ashvamedha and Vajapeya are conducted. The main offerings in Anna Homa are grains, ghee, powdered barley, rice, wheat and other cereals.

It is offered at the sacrificial fire in yajna beore sunrise.

It is believed that offering will please the deities and they will bless the performed with nourishment and desire fulfillment.
