Chenicheri Thenankottu Bhagavathy Kavu temple is located at Ezhome in Kannur district, Kerala. This is a tharavadu shrine and the main deities worshipped here are Bhagavathy and other male deities worshipped in kavu and tharavadu in Kannur region of Kerala. Chenicheri Thenankottu Bhagavathy Kavu temple theyyam festival is held for two days in Malayalam Dhanu Masam – Dhanu 21 and Dhanu 22 (January 5 and January 6).
The main rituals and pujas are held on Sankranthi day as per traditional Malayalam calendar. Vishu is an important puja day in the temple.
The important theyyams that are part of the annual theyyam – thira festival in the temple are Illamkolam theyyam, Puthiya Bhagavathy theyyam, Thekkan Gulikan theyyam, Vishnumoorthi theyyam and Thai Paradevatha theyyam.
