Kattampally Cherikkal Sree Bhagavathi temple is located at Kattampally near Narath in Kannur district, Kerala. The annual theyyam and kaliyattam festival in the temple is held for five days in Malayalamasam Kumbham – Kumbham 7, Kumbham 8, Kumbham 9, Kumbham 10 and Kumbham 11 (February 19, Feb 20, Feb 21, Feb 22 and February 23).
The important theyyams performed in the temple are various Bhagavathi Amma theyyams, Kurathi Amma, Pottan Daivam Theyyam, Gulikan Daivam Theyyam, Vishnumoorthi Theyyam, Dharma Daivam Theyyam, Pollalan Daivam Theyyam and Raktha Chamundi Theyyam.
The Tharavadu kavu pujas and rituals, dramas, melam, Kerala performing temple art forms, thalappoli and fireworks are part of the annual festival which is mostly held during night time.
The shrine is dedicated to Goddess Bhagavathi and various other deities. The main shrine is with a small decorated chathura sreekovil. The other deities are worshipped on square platforms and also in small sreekovils. Vishu is an important festival in the temple.
The temple also conducts all important functions that are part of a calendar year including ezhuthiniruthu.
