Maharaj Dhamghosh Jayanti (Dhamaghosh or Damghosh) is annually observed on Ashwin Purnima day by the Hindu Ghosi community in India. The main festivities are held in Madhya Pradesh. Maharaj Dhamghosh Jayanti 2024 date is October 17.
Maharaj Dham Ghosh was the powerful and courageous son of the King of Chedi. He married Shrutashrava (also known as Sutasubha), the youngest sister of Sri Krishna’s father. They had five sons including Shishupala. The Ghosi community in India descended from these five sons of Maharaj Dhamghosh.
