Puja in a Hindu home can be performed in the morning hours during sunrise preferably before 7:00 AM. Evening time puja can be performed during pradosh period preferable after 6:00 PM. Many people have this doubt today what time to do pooja in home. The best time is always during sunrise and just after sunset.
Pujas can also be performed during noon time (roughly 12:00 PM to 12:40 PM) when there is Abhijit Muhurat. But Abhijit Muhurat is not present on Wednesdays.
Tantric pujas etc should be performed at midnight around 11:50 PM to 12:45 AM.
Please note that you need not always look for time for puja as it is always auspicious to perform a puja. All you need to have is devotion, a clean mind and clean body. Puja should be always performed after taking bath.
