Thiruvanchoor Sree Krishna temple is located at Thiruvanchoor in Kottayam district, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to Bhagavan Sri Krishna and Ganapati. The shrine observes the annual Sri Krishna Jayanti – Gokulashtami festival in Chingamasam with procession and other traditional festivities. Vinayaka Chathurthi in Chingamasam is another major festival in the temple.
The temple has an east facing chathura sreekovil. There are two separate shrines adjacent to each other. There are no other structures here.
The temple is famous for thrikai venna offering.
Kaikotti chiri vazhipadu (കൈകൊട്ടി ചിരി) – a ritual of clapping hands along with laughing – is performed in the temple for retrieving lost objects.
The shrine observes various Vaishnava rituals and pujas during auspicious occasion especially during Ekadashi. The temple observes Vishu, Ramayana Masam and Thiruvonam.
