Singhara Ki Panjiri Bhog Offered At Trinetra Ganesh Temple

Singhara Ki Panjiri is a unique bhog or naivedya or offering made to Trinetra Ganesh at the famous Trinetra Ganesh Temple at Ranthambore, Rajasthan, on Vinayaka Chaturthi day. The ingredients used for the food offering is unique.

Singhara ki panjiri is a concoction of water, chestnut flour, ghee, sugar, sautéed together and to which are added mewa, dry fruits and gond (crystals of edible gum).

The murti of Ganesh worshipped in the temple is large and covered with silver, with consorts Riddhi and Siddhi, and the sons Shubh and Labh on either side, as well as a brass mooshika (vahana of Ganapathi).

The temple also has white mice grown in a cage.

The everyday bhog or food offering in the temple is Gud Ka Modak (dumplings stuffed with a jaggery mixture). Devotees offer batashe too the Ganesha with three eyes.
