Peroor Chalackal Mahavishnu temple is located at Peroor in Kottayam district, Kerala. The temple is dedicated to Bhagavan Vishnu. The annual Gokulashtami or Sri Krishna Janmashtami jayanti festival is held with various pujas and rituals. Ashtami Rohini ghoshayatra, feast, young children as baby Krishnas, children and boys dressed as Radha and Krishna, uriyadi and other festivities are part of the important Krishna temple festival observed in Chingamasam (August – September).
The temple has beautiful chathura sreekovil. The shrine is complete with a namaskara mandapam, chuttambalam and small shrines of upadevatas.
The shrine observes various Vaishnava pujas and rituals including abhishekam and various archanas. Vishu, Ramayana Masam and Thiruvonam are observed in the shrine. Ekadashi is of significance in the temple.
