Moloth Sri Krishna Temple

Moloth Sri Krishna temple is located at Elayavoor in Kannur district, Kerala. The temple is dedicated to Bhagavan Sree Krishna. Ashtami Rohini (Sri Krishna Janmashtami in Chingamasam (August – September)) is an important festival in the temple. This is a small but beautiful temple with traditional wooden architecture and use of unique bricks known as vettukallu.

The square sanctum sanctorum faces east and has a standing murti of Bhagavan. There is a namaskara mandapam, small pond and shrines of upa devatas. The sreekovil is made using natural brick known as vettu kallu.

Ekadashi in every fortnight and Thursdays are of importance in the temple.

Vishu, Ramayana Masam, Thiruvonam, Mandala Makravilakku season and Thrikarthika are observed here along with numerous other important Vaishnava rituals and festivals.
