The temple is dedicated to Bhagawan Sree Krishna Swamy. The annual Ashtami Rohini festival in Chingamasam is an important day in the temple.
This is a colorful shrine resembling more like Tamil Nadu temples. The temple has a chathura sreekovil, kodimaram and shrines of upa devatas.
The shrine observes Vishu, Ramayana Masam, Ekadashi on every fortnight and other important Vaishnava days in a calendar year.
The annual festival in the temple is held in Malayalam Meena Masam (April).
