Kallarappara Mahadeva Temple is located on Kallarakadavu Road in Pathanamthitta district, Kerala. The temple is dedicated to Shiva – Mahadevar. Shivratri is the most important festival in the shrine.
A Shivling is worshipped in the open here. There are no major temple structures.
The main Shivling is found under a tree. It is several years old. A new Shivling atop a platform open to elements of nature is a new addition to the old structures.
Special pujas and rituals are part of the annual festival held in Malayalam Kumbha Masam. Shaiva temple rituals, dhara and homam are part of the annual festival.
