Gurusthan, a place in Shirdi where Sai Baba was first seen, is the most revered spot in the Shirdi Sai Baba temple complex and is located next to the Samadhi Mandir. He was seen at Gurusthan sitting under a neem tree. A marble statue and a portrait of the saint are kept at Gurusthan. The spot also preserves the boulder on which Baba used to sit.
Padukas (footprint icon) blessed by the saint himself were installed under the neem tree in 1912. Figures of lotus, flowers and conch are carved on the side of the Padukas.
A Sanskrit Shloka is inscribed on the side of padukas
