Mundamuka Kuttichathan Kavu – Festival

Mundamuka Kuttichathan Kavu is located at Mundaya near Shoranur in Palakkad district, Kerala. The temple is dedicated to Kuttichathan and Goddess Bhadrakali. The annual festival in the temple is held in Kumbha Masam (February – March).

This is a simple temple with two chathura sreekovil. The deities worshipped in the temple are very old. They were initially worshipped in roofless platform. The modern structures are later addition.

The annual festival is noted for unique rituals. Melam, thalappoli and rare pujas and rituals are part of the festival.
