Aluva Desom Pallippattu Kavu Bhagavathy temple is located at Desom in Aluva, Ernakulam district, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to Goddess Bhagavathy or Devi. The annual festival in the Pallipattu kavu temple is held in Meena Masam (March – April) and is known as the Thalappoli festival.
This is a typical Bhagavathy temple and the sankalpam of Devi here is that of Goddess Bhadrakali.
The temple conducts Kalamezhthupattu continuously for 300 days.
The annual festival is famous for unique pujas and rituals, melam, thalappoli, and traditional performing art forms of Kerala.
Makara Chowa, Makam Thozhal, Navratri and Thrikarthika are important festivals in the temple.
കുംഭം 1 മുതൽ അമ്മയുടെ തിരുനടയ്ക്കൽ തുടർച്ചയായി 300 ദിവസങ്ങൾ കളമെഴുത്തും പാട്ടും നടക്കാറുണ്ട്. കളമെഴുത്തും പാട്ടും സമാരംഭിക്കുന്നതിന് മുന്നോടിയായി ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ പിണ്ടി വിളക്ക് തെളിയിക്കൽ ചടങ്ങും, തുടർന്ന് പാട്ടുപുരയിൽ കൂറയിടൽ ചടങ്ങും നടക്കാറുണ്ട്.
തുടർച്ചയായി 300 ഓളം ദിനങ്ങള്‍ കളമെഴുത്തും പാട്ടും മുടങ്ങാതെ നടക്കുന്ന ഭാരതത്തിലെ ഏക ഭദ്രകാളീ ക്ഷേത്രമാണ് ആലുവ ദേശം ശ്രീ പള്ളിപ്പാട്ടുകാവ് ഭഗവതി ക്ഷേത്രം.
