Thrikkaipetta Shiva Temple – Festival

Thrikkaipetta Shiva temple is located at Thrikkaipatta in Wayanad district, Kerala. The temple is dedicated to Shiva. The annual festival in the temple is held in Meena Masam (March - April). The Maha Shivratri is another important festival in the temple.

The main deity worshipped in the temple is Shivling. The temple has a chathura sreekovil, chuttambalam and namaskara mandapam.

The upa devatas worshipped in the temple are Ganapathi, Ayyappa and Nagas.

The annual festival is mainly famous for Shiva temple rituals like abhishekam and chanting of Rudra mantras. At night special fire dance is performed in the shrine.
