Karikode Mahadevar temple is located near Keezhoor - Hindustan Newsprint limited, Velloor, Peruva near Piravom in Ernakulam district. The main deity worshipped in the temple is Shiva or Mahadeva. The annual festival in the temple coincides with the Shivratri festival in Kumbha Masam (February – March).
The Shivling worshipped in the temple is very old. The outer structures of the temple are comparatively new. The temple has a chuttambalam, namaskara mandapam and shrines of Upa Devatas. The main upa devata worshipped in the temple is Ganapathi.
The annual temple festival is noted for caparisoned elephants, ezhunellippu and melam.
