Elanad Thendankavu Bhagavathi Temple is located at Elanad near Chelakkara in Thrissur district, Kerala. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Bhagavathi. The annual Vela festival in the temple is held on Makayiram nakshatra in Makara Masam (January – February).
This is an ancient temple small temple with a sreekovil and upa devata shrines.
The annual festival is noted for caparisoned elephants and melam. There are kolams, procession, temple art forms, pujas and rituals associated with Bhagavathy temples. The festival concludes with arattu.
The shrine also observes Navratri and Thrikarthika festivals.
