Raghunathapuram Sri Subramaniya Swami Temple Varkala

Raghunathapuram Sri Subramaniya Swami temple is located at Raghunathapuram in Varkala, Thiruvananthapuram district, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to Subrahmanya or Muruga. The annual Thaipooyam festival in the temple is famous for Kavadiyattam. It is held on Pooyam nakshatra in Makaram month (January – February).

The temple has a square sanctum sanctorum with a kodimaram or flagpost.

Sashti day falling during waxing phase of moon or after Amavasya is of great importance in the temple. Skanda Sashti in Thulam masam is also of great significance.
