Muthuthala Maha Ganapathi Temple - Festival

Muthuthala Maha Ganapathi temple is located at Pattambi in Palakkad district, Kerala. The temple is dedicated to Ganesha. The shrine observes it annual festival in Kumbham month. The kuriyidal ritual associated with the pooram festival is held in Makarm month.

This is a beautiful Kerala temple surrounded by paddy fields. The temple is complete with upa devata shrines, chuttambalam and temple pond. 

The annual festival in the temple is famous for temple folk art forms and processions. Kala, Kuthira are part of the festival.

The Thalappoli festival is observed on Makayiram nakshatra in Makara Masam (January - February).

The annual Pratishta festival in the temple is held in Meda Masam (April - May).

Karkidaka Masam (July - August) is of great importance in the temple.

Vinayaka Chaturthi in Chingamasam (August - September) is an important festival in the temple.
