Kuppana Sri Velayudha Mangalam Temple

Kuppana Sri Velayudha Mangalam temple is located near Anchalummood in Kollam district, Kerala. The annual festival in the temple is held in Makaram month - Thaipooyam Kavadi. The shrine is dedicated to Subrahmanya or Muruga. 

The annual festival concludes with famous Kavadi festival. Caparisoned elephant, temple music and procession marks the kavadi festival.

The most important days in the temple are Sashti or sixth day during the waxing phase of moon in Malayalam month, Thaipooyam (February – March) and Skanda Sashti in (October or November).

The small beautiful temple is noted for traditional Kerala temple architecture, kodimaram and a peepal tree.
