Kayikkara Erath Subrahmanya temple is located at Kayikkara Erath in Thiruvananthapuram district, Kerala. The temple is also referred to as Sree Dharma Sastha temple as there was temple of Ayyappa here during ancient times. The pratishta in the temple was performed by Sri Narayana Guru.
The ancient Sastha temple had got ruined and was in a dilapidated condition. A new temple was built and the pratishta was performed by Sri Narayana guru on kollavarsham 1069 Makaram 1.
Famous poet Kumaran Asan was a priest in the temple for a short period.
Thaipooyam is observed here. Sashti fasting in a month is another important event here. The temple also observed Mandala Kalam (November – December).
