Olarikkara Bhagavathy Temple – History – Facts

Olarikkara Bhagavathy temple is located at Olari in Thrissur district, Kerala. The main deity worshipped in the temple is Goddess Bhagavathi. The darshanam of Olarikkara Bhagavathy is towards east.

The Upa Devatas worshipped in Olarikkara temple are Kshetrapalan and Kandan. There is a separate grove or kavu dedicated to kandan.

As per popular belief, the Bhagavathy worshipped here arrived from Kodungallur atop a traditional olakkuda (umbrella).

The main festival observed in the temple is the Thalappoli Utsavam in Dhanu month.

The temple belongs to Olari, Puthoorkkara and Ayyanthol deshams.
