Edneer Vishnumangalam Temple – Kasaragod

Edneer Vishnumangalam temple is located at Edneer in Kasaragod district, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to Vishnu Bhagavan. A spatika lingam (shivling made of glass) is also worshipped in the temple.

The popular belief is that the murti of Vishnu Bhagavan worshipped here appeared before Neera Muni, who was performing intense meditation in the region.

The five-day festival starts on Kumbha Sankranti day.

The shrine was destroyed in 1788 CE. It was later rebuilt. The temple was renovated in 1903 by Balakrishnananada Bharati, the head of Edneer Madom.
