Sadhyas In Hinduism

Sadhyas are Gana Devatas in Hinduism. As per Mahabharata, Sadhyas were born from an egg in Virat Purusha. There are 12 Sadhyas. As per Vishnu Purana, Sadhyas were born to Dharma Deva and Sadhya (daughter of Daksha Prajapati). They are also mentioned in the Rig Veda and Manusmriti.

As per Yasaka they reside in the Bhuvarloka – the world between earth and sun or between heaven and earth.

Sadhyas always travel together. They are named as Manas, Mantri. Prana, Naran, Panan, Narakan, Vinirbhayan, Nayan, Damshan, Narayanan, Vrikshan, and Prabhu.
