Thirumarady Temple Festival – Thirumarady Shiva Temple

Thirumarady Shiva Temple is located at Thirumarady village on the Piravom – Koothattukulam road in Ernakulam district, Kerala.  The 8-day annual festival at Thirumarady temple is observed in such a manner that it ends with Arattu on Thiruvathira nakshatra day in Dhanu masam.

The shrine is dedicated to Shiva and the deity faces east. The Upa Devatas worshipped in the temple are Ayyappan and Subrahmanian.

All the festival rituals and pujas associated with Shiva temples in Kerala are held during the 8-day festival.

Traditional temple music, dance and temple arts are performed during the festival.

The festival comes to an end with Arattu procession.
