Puthiyedam Bhagavathi Temple - About - History - Upa Devatas - Festival

Puthiyedam Bhagavathi temple is located at Kizhakkumbhagom in Kanjoor village in Ernakulam district, Kerala. 

The annual festival in the temple begins on Chothi nakshatra in Meenam month and ends on Thiruvonam nakshatra with arattu.

The temple belonged to the Kochi royal family. The main deity worshipped in the temple is Parthasarathy. The deity faces east. The upa devathas in the temple are Ganapathy, Ayyappa, Bhagavathy, Nagayakshi and Kandakarnan.

The annual festival is noted for traditional temple festival rituals of Kerala.

Traditional temple music, dance and cultural programs are part of the 7-day festival. The festival ends with Arattu procession.
