Kallooppara Devi Temple Festival

Kallooppara Bhagavathy temple is located on the banks of Manimalayar at Kallooppara in Pathanamthitta district, Kerala.  The annual festival in the temple is observed on the Bharani Nakshatra day in Kumbha month. The famous padayani in the temple is observed on Revathi and Aswathy nakshatra in Kumbham month.

Chamayavilakku and Utsvam is also held on the Makara Bharani day.

The main deity worshipped in the temple is Goddess Bhagavathi.

The Upa Devatas are Ganapathy, Nagaraja and Nagayakshi.

The annual festival in the temple is famous for padayani and kettukazhcha.

Velakali performance is held prior to the Padayani procession.

The major kolams performed at Kallooppara Bhagavathy temple are the Yakshi, Pakshi, Marutha, Bhairavi and Kaalan Kolam. Comic interlude or the Vinodam is also performed here. 

Meena Bharani is another important festival day in the temple.
