Ashtami Daughter In Law Visit To In Laws - Doubt Answered

For the first time when a daughter in law is visiting her in-laws House can she scheduled arrival on Ashtami. This is a doubt some Hindus have.

Ashtami tithi is usually avoided for first visit. This is because the tithi is associated with war-related pursuits.

The tithis that you can opt for are Dwitiya (second day), Tritiya (third day – very good for the purpose), Panchami, Dashami and Dwadashi.

Ashtami is the eighth day during a fortnight in a Hindu calendar.

Another tithi that should be avoided is the Chaturthi tithi (fourth day) and also Pratipada Tithi (the first day).
