People in Kali Yuga are more interested in the activities of Kamdev and Kuber. Kamdev is the god of love and Kuber is the treasurer of wealth. But what we forget is that Kamdev is not the god of blind lust and neither is Kuber the treasurer of ill-gotten wealth. Puja of Kamdev and Kuber on Trayodashi Tithi is considered highly meritorious.
Krishna Paksha Trayodashi Tithi (the thirteenth day of waning phase of moon) in a Hindu calendar is dedicated to Kamdev and Kuber. This is mentioned in the Bhavishyottara Purana.

How to do Kamdev and Kuber Puja on Trayodashi Tithi?
- The puja should be performed during Pradosh period – starting from an hour before sunset.
- Take bath and wear pink color dress.
- Offer puja in mind first to Ganesha and then to Shiva.
- The puja should be performed facing east.
- Light a lamp using cow ghee with two wicks. (The two wicks in the lamp should be imagined as Kamdev and Kuber)
- Dhoop should be of Chandan.
- Offer fragrant flowers like rose.
- Offer perfume or fragrant water.
- Offer sweet white kheer as Prasad. Later this should be shared with family members.
- Chant this mantra 108 times क्लीं काममूर्तये नमः शिवाय क्लीं (Kleem kammurtaya Namah: Shivaya Kleem)
- Next visit a Shiva Temple and offer a garland made of thirteen roses this will help in desire fulfillment.
- Do daan (donation) to poor women and children.
