Durmuhurtham is an inauspicious period every in a Hindu calendar and panchang. The calculation is based on sunrise in the specific region. The period is bad and is avoided for all kinds of new deals, travel and new work. The time period is roughly 48 minutes. There is also no unity in calculating the period in various panchangams.
