Matangi Puja Vidhi
- She should be propitiated on Shukla Paksha Tritiya or Navami Tithi – third or ninth day during the waxing phase of the moon.
- The puja can be performed in the morning, during the pradosh period or at midnight.
- After taking bath, keep the picture of Goddess Matangi on a Turquoise color cloth (bright light blue)
- A one-wick lamp with pure cow ghee should be lit.
- Dhoop should be of fragrant flowers.
- Blue color flowers should be offered.
- The tilak for the day should be a mix of kajal and sindhoor.
- The Prasad or bhog should be prepared using coconut. Another offering is a sweet made using jaggery and sesame. After the puja, the Prasad should be shared with all people including the poor.

property should offer palak leaves to Matangi during puja and later give it to
a cow.
