Vira Vighnesh is a form of Ganesha that is very rarely worshipped in murti form in temples. This is a fierce form of Ganesha and is propitiated by those who wish success in battles. Veera Ganesha form is famous for 16 arms and this type of murti is associated with Chola period in South India.


Vira Vighnesha murti has sixteen hands. The hands carry numerous weapons and other items associated with Hindu deities.
