Shrii Shrii Anandamurti Quotes

Shrii Shrii Anandamurti (Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar) is the founder of Ananda Marga, a global spiritual and social service organization.

Mere acquisition of wealth, power and position does not satisfy a person. The acquisition of something limited only creates the want for more, and the quest for happiness finds no end. The hunger for possessing is unending. It is limitless and infinite.

The Cosmic Entity alone is infinite and eternal. It alone is limitless. And the eternal longing of human beings for happiness can only be satiated by realization of the Infinite.

The mind of a human being is just a small drop in that vast Mind. Or if the Cosmic Mind is a fire, then the human mind is a mere spark.

The process of creation is a continuous process of moving from incompleteness to completeness, from imperfection to perfection.

The Supreme Entity is the vastest entity; the ultimate source of all cosmic emanations. The Supreme Entity, which is difficult to conceive, is the subtlest of the subtle. He is farther away than any other entity, but again He is nearer than the nearest. Only the one who looks into the innermost recesses of himself can realize the Supreme Entity.

Human society is one and indivisible. Don't try to divide it. Each and every individual should be looked upon as the manifestation of the Cosmic Entity.

He is infinite. He has no beginning and no end. He is the unbroken flow of pure and serene bliss, stretching from beginninglessness to endlessness.

You are never alone or helpless. The force that guides the starts guides you, too.

Every one of us carries within, the hidden memory of that first sunrise, and even beyond it, into the darkness of antiquity. We are, by means of this primordial memory, which is part of our human heritage, intimately connected to all forms of life.

Do you require the help of a mirror to see your wrist watch on your wrist? No, you will never do that. Likewise, you need not go to the Himalayas in search of God, who is hidden in your own ‘I-ness.’ Living in the world, put forth your entire self for the service of society, and then you will attain God.

There is in the living being a thirst for limitlessness.

Shri Shri Anandamurti Thoughts on Chanting of Devotional Songs

Kirtana is a valuable spiritual aid to bring the seeker closer to the Supreme Consciousness. It is the singing of devotional songs, chanting creatively with heartfelt sincerity and purpose. Kirtana is helpful in all spheres of life; it helps us to overcome physical troubles and tribulations as well.

During kirtana many assemble together, united in purpose, and so all their collective physical energies function in unison. Their collective psychic energies flow in the same channel, inspired by Parama Purusa. At the place of kirtana, not only will there be a huge concentration of physical energies, but also a powerful concentration of psychic energy, which will remove all the collective, accumulated miseries of the material world. Kirtana is initiation to the Divine to reveal the Supreme Consciousness within.

Physical afflictions are caused partly by nature, and partly by our own thoughts and actions. Whatever might be the physical miseries natural or man-made if people collectively chant kirtana, calamities become easier to deal with.
