- The puja should be performed under a peepal tree after sunrise.
- Offer prayers to Ganesha.
- Take a kalash and fill it water. In mind imagine the 8-armed form of Vishnu and offer prayers. Then pour the water under the peepal tree.
- Light a lamp using sesame oil.
- Offer a yellow banana.
- Offer yellow color flowers.
- Offer yellow chandan.
- Sit in meditation.
- Chant the mantra ‘Om Namo Bhagavate Vasusdevaya’ 108 times. You can use a chandan mala to keep count.
- Then go around the tree five times.
- Take the banana and give it to a cow.
