Mantra to Overcome Mental Tension and Stress in Life

Never-ending desires and the hard work we do to fulfill the desires give us mental tension and stress. This stress and tension causes upheaval in our life both physically and mentally. This particular mantra in Hinduism when chanted on Monday will help in overcoming all forms of mental tension and stress in life.

The Mantra

श्रीं चन्द्राय क्षपाकराय नमः

Shreem Chandraya Kshpakraya Namah:

The mantra is dedicated to Chandra, the moon god.


How and When to Chant the Mantra?

  • The mantra should be chanted on Monday early morning during sunrise or after sighting the moon.
  • The person wearing the mantra should wear white color cloth.
  • The mantra should be chanted 108 times using a white chandan mala.
  • Light a lamp using cow ghee. Sit in front of it and chant the mantra. You need not have the picture of a deity.
  • Offer white color flowers.
  • A white color sweet should be kept as bhog or prasad. It should be then given to a cow.
  • Pour water under a Babool tree in the evening after puja or before puja during the daytime.
