Meenakshi Sundareshwara Temple in Bangalore is dedicated to
Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. Siva is worshipped here as Sundareshwara and Ma
Parvati as Meenakshi. The shrine is located on Bannerghatta Road. Temple

Meenakshi Sundareshwara Temple Bangalore
The shrine is small but very well maintained. The architecture of the temple is typical of temples in Tamil Nadu. A compound wall and tall gopuram with beautiful sculptures of murtis on it welcome a devotee.
On entering the temple, we have the darshan of Dwajasthama
and Nandi. Then we have the view of the temple open hall. It has beautiful carvings
of marriage of Shiva and Parvati and of Hindu deities and incidents from
Puranas.
Mother Meenakshi and Sundershwara have separate sanctum sanctorum.
The outer walls of both the sanctum have sculptures.
The subsidiary deities worshipped in the temple are
Venkateswara, Ganesha, Subrahmanya, Ayyappa and Kala Bhairava. There is a
separate beautiful space in the complex dedicated to the Navgrahas.

Morning - 6:30 AM to 1:00 PM
