Tuljapur Bhavani Yatra at Tuljapur in Maharashtra is held on
the Purnima or full moon day in Chaitra month. Tuljapur Bhavani Yatra 2025 date
is April 12. Tulja Bhavani is family deity of Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and
of thousands of families in Maharashtra and other states.
Tulja Bhavani is the manifestation of Goddess Shakti – who
is worshipped as Ambabai, Jagadamba, Tukai, Bhagwati and Durga in western
parts of India.
Tulja Bhavani Temple is also one of the
Shakti Peethas.
Thousands of devotees arrive on the day at the temple to pay
respects to the Goddess.
Unique rituals and pujas are organized on the occasion. Food
donation and cultural activities too are part of the yatra.
For the annual festival, the shrine is decorated with lamps,
lights, flowers, leaves and sugarcane.
