Dasbodh Jayanti is observed in Magh month. Dasbodh means ‘advice
to the disciple.’ It is believed that this Advaita Vedanta spiritual text in
Marathi was first narrated on this day. Dasbodh Jayanti 2024 date is February 18.
Sant Samarth Ramdas orally narrated Dasbodh to his disciple,
Kalyan Swami. It is presented in the format of a conversation between a Guru
and disciple.
Dasbodh advocates both Bhakti (devotion) method and Jnana (knowledge)
method for attaining liberation.
Dasbodh Jayanti is annually observed on Magh Shukla Paksha
Navami Tithi or the ninth day during the waxing phase of moon in Magh month as
per traditional Hindu lunar calendar followed in Maharashtra.
