Bhuiphore Mandir, also known as Bhuiphod Temple
The temple gets the name Bhuiphore or Bhuiphod because the
Shivling here juts out from land.
The main Shivling is east facing and is one foot long. As
usual Nandi sits opposite facing the Shivling. There are also murtis of
Hanuman, Radhakrishna and Shiva Parvati in the sanctum sanctorum.
The small but beautiful shrine also has murtis of Goddess
Durga, Goddess Manasa Devi and Goddess Annapurna. The murti of Goddess Durga is
with a gold crown and sliver chhat.
The temple complex also has murtis of Ganesh, Lakshmi,
Saraswati and Kartik.
All murtis are made of marble.
Two of the most important festivals in the temple are
Shivratri and Navratri.
