Sant Nagaji Maharaj Punyatithi at Pardi near Wardha



Sant Nagaji Maharaj Punyatithi is held in Ashwin month. It is the death anniversary of Sant Nagaji Maharaj – a great saint who spread the teachings of truth and dharma. He is one of the saints in the great Bhakti tradition in Maharashtra. Sant Nagaji Maharaj Punyatithi 2017 date is October 7. It is of great importance at Pardi near Wardha.

Hundreds of people participate in the prayer meeting and various other spiritual activities organized on the day.

Murlidhar Temple at Pardi is the center of activities. The temple is built in memory of the great saint. A huge fair is held here during the period.

Sant Nagaji Maharaj Punyatithi is annually observed on Ashwin Krishna Paksha Dwitiya tithi or the second day during the waning phase of moon in Ashwin month as per traditional Hindu lunar calendar followed in Maharashtra.
