Krishna River festival is annually held in Shravan. It is
mainly observed at Karad in Maharashtra. Koyna River joins Krishna nadi at
Karad. Krishna River festival 2025 date is August 18.
Karad lies at the confluence of Koyna River and the Krishna
River. The rivers meet exactly head on at Karad. Their confluence is called ‘Preeti
Sangam’, meaning confluence of love.
It is the fourth longest river in India. Also known as,
Krishnaveni, it is nearly 1,300 kilometers long.
The festival is observed during the monsoon season.
