Akshata Mantra – The Mantra Chanted With Akshata

Akshata basically consists of uncooked rice which is mixed with turmeric. Here is the Akshata mantra. It is chanted while mixing the rice and turmeric and also while using the Akshata for various proposes.

Akshatastandula: subhraa: kumkumen Virajeeta;
Mayaa nivedita bhavatya grihan parameshwara.

Meaning of the mantra – The white rice colored with kumkum means akshata which I am devoutly offering to You Oh Parameshwara, please accept it.
