Mani Parbat Jhoola is annually observed on the third day
during the waxing phase of moon in Shravan month – Shravan Shukla Paksha Tritiya
as per traditional Hindu calendar followed in North India .

Mani Parbat is a small mound in Ayodhya. There is an ancient
temple on the mound.
Jhoola or swing festival is held annually here on Shravan
Shukla Paksha Tritiya. The unique ritual attracts scores of devotees.
Legend has it that the mount of Mani Parbat was accidentally
dropped here by Sugriva – the king of Kishkinda.
